Ecotrust Canada will be hosting a public presentation and discussion around social innovation in Prince Rupert – what it is and how it can be enhanced in Prince Rupert. This event will also share back the key findings from the NCIL’s community interviews, and give examples of possible projects and initiatives that Ecotrust Canada’s North Coast Innovation Lab (NCIL) could support.¬†

This presentation is open to all, from 7-9pm on the evening of March 8th at Northwest Community College. It will¬†include lessons and examples from Ecotrust Canada’s Local Economic Development Lab (LEDLab), situated in the downtown east side of Vancouver. The event will also include Prof. Ken Shaw of Northwest Community College, who will explain a new academic program around sustainable community-building and its relevance to Prince Rupert.

Kiri Bird, the LEDLab’s Manager, will be co-facilitating the presentation along with Nathan Randall (Project Manager for the North Coast Innovation Lab) and Devlin Fernandes (Program Coordinator for Ecotrust Canada in Prince Rupert).

Snacks and refreshments will be provided.
