Event Details

Have you ever wanted to write that novel inside you? Join other Prince Rupertites and do it with National Novel Writing Month and commit to writing fifty thousand words during the thirty days in November. Come have snacks and drinks and get excited about the novel, doing the last bit of prep…or just lounge about knowing you’ll just rock it going seat-of-your-pants on November 1st!

NaNoWriMo – Have you ever wanted to write a novel? You can do it! Join with others this November at the library for NaNoWriMo, National Novel Writing Month. 50,000 words, 30 days, 1 crazy (but fun!) dash to get that first draft out of you. Make that someday when you will write November by committing to this amazing journey. Young and old, pencil or keyboard, it doesn’t matter who you are, how you write, or what you write, as long as you WRITE!

Join us at the library on Sunday, October 30th for the official kick-off with stickers, bookmarks, snacks and encouragement; on Sundays in November for Come Write In sessions for group writing (and snacking, coffee drinking and procrastinating). There is also an official kick-off night at Cowpuccino’s on Tuesday, November 1st and an official celebration night on Thursday, December 1st at Cowpuccino’s when we look back at all we wrote.

Sign up officially at http://www.nanowrimo.org/ (we’re in the region Canada: British Columbia: Elsewhere when you’re setting up) and feel free to contact William at the library (wmcduff on nanowrimo.org) for more info or help convincing yourself that you can actually do this crazy thing. (You totally can, by the way.)
