On December 6, 1989, fourteen women at a university in Montreal were murdered because they were women.

December 6th has been proclaimed the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women

The North Coast Transition Society is holding a vigil to remember the women who were murdered on this day and to encourage us all to continue to take steps to eliminate violence against all women.
