Event Details

The North Coast Marine Speaker Series brings scientists and researchers to the Northwest to speak on marine-themed topics of significance to this region. This month, join Aaron Eger of the University of Victoria to learn more about seagrass ecosystems. Seagrasses are found around the world, including the North Coast. They do what no other complex plant can do, live entirely underwater, and create valuable marine ecosystems. Learn how these species have adapted to life beneath the waves, how they shape their surrounding environment, how they are impacted by human activity, and Aaron’s plans to study these ecosystems in the Prince Rupert region.
