Immerse yourself in nature and discoveries during Ecology Week 2017. Join leading doctorate level professionals for eight days of hands on exploration and learning within the Great Bear Rainforest Conservancy and the Skeena River Estuary on the North Coast of Canada. Each professor is passionate, knowledgeable and brings an engaging appealing approach to learning about the natural world.

The Skeena Estuary and the North Coast of BC will be your playground as you explore a different topic each day.

Day 1: Saltmarsh – Discover a rare salt water marsh
Day 2: Lichens, Fungi and the Coastal Forest
Day 3: Birding including a 3-hour Big Canoe Adventure
Day 4: Tributary, River, Estuary Ocean by Boat – Jet boat up the Exchamsiks River and Soak in a Natural Hot Spring
Day 5: Medicinal and Edible Plants
Day 6: Float Plane to the Famed Khutzeymateen Valley for Private Grizzly Bear Tour
Day 7: Intertidal Zones – Explore both a rocky and a mudflat intertidal zone
