Beginners: over here! Come learn essential skills you need to be safe on the water. Once you know how to re-enter your boat and help your partner in the event you capsize, you will feel much more confident. This will be a small group with two instructors plus lifeguards on duty; a great opportunity for learning in a safe environment.
We will focus on:
-Paddle float self-rescue
-T-Rescue (basic, assisted-rescue method for conscious, uninjured paddlers)

*We need to meet our minimums by November 10, so don’t hesitate to reserve your spot!
Location: Earl Mah Aquatic Center, shallow end of main pool
Cost: $45 per person
Equipment: BYOBoat (sea kayaks and decked recreational kayaks for work), paddle, PFD (+ paddle float, tow line, pump for sea kayaks) *If you do not have a PFD, contact us about renting one (PFD $20)
