Prince Rupert is having the first ever North Coast Whale Festival!
Three experts are coming to present and raise awareness about marine mammals, particularly the northern resident killer whales.  Come listen and learn about the biology of whales, their cultural importance and the threats they face.

This is an event for all ages and is FREE! Highlights include:

o Welcome with traditional singing and dancing
o Whale Speaker series (more to details to come for times)
o Interactive stations, adopt a whale, games, whalebone displays, prizes and more!

o Evening festivities at the Wheelhouse – They have made a special whale beer for this event and local partners are preparing a delicious sustainable seafood sampler plate from sustainable sources. Tickets for the sampler shall be purchased in advance at Fukasaku or Wheelhouse for $15, which will go towards the North Coast Ecology Centre Society.
